An 18-hole championship golf course, West Lakes Golf & Villas, debuted in 2018. The area west of Ho Chi Minh City has never had a golf course before.
Peter Thomson, the founder of Thomson Perrett and a five-time British Open champion, popularized the West Lakes course. The 7100-yard course’s highlights include stunning lakes on nearly every hole, wavy fairways, creative bunkering, and the names Thomson Perrett and the regional implementation team have put on it.
One of the first golf courses in South Vietnam to use Zeon Zoysia grassed fairways, which are very simple to hit off, is West Lakes Golf & Villas. The Bermuda grass used on the greens is of the Tifeagle variety, which creates smooth, quick-moving putting surfaces. The top-notch condition of the grass will be appreciated by golfers of all skill levels. Professional golf courses are designed based on inspiration from the sea with undulating wavy lines. The fairway impresses all golfers by its soft, winding beauty next to the bunkers arranged harmoniously but also quite interesting, stimulating the desire to conquer of players.
Wide fairways and landing places set the tone for the first nine. More challenging and entertaining holes may be found on the back nine.
