There are 36 holes of championship golf at FLC Quy Nhon Golf Links, including the Ocean Course, which was designed by Jack Nicklaus, and the Mountain Course, which was created by Schmidt Curley. Each has different problems and styles. The entire facility is a part of a sizable beachfront resort complex that is situated 30 miles from Quy Nhon town and 45 miles from the airport in Quy Nhon.
The FLC Golf Links’ Mountain Course was built by Brain Curley. 16 of Quy Nhon’s 18 holes have vistas of the South China Sea, and the course was constructed on a slope covered with pine scrub and sand. The broad fairways have centerline hazards. The layout makes use of the area’s natural sand dunes while also ensuring enough width off the tee to aid players in navigating the region’s regular severe gusts. Instead of being made up of separate tee complexes, the tees have a “mini-fairway” configuration.
The fairways and greens are seamlessly connected by design. Numerous greens are sizable and equipped with kick-slopes, backstops, punchbowls, and fall-away lobes. The second hole on the Quy Nhon Mountain Course, which has a noticeable fall-away green, and the fifteenth hole, which has an intriguing “half-pipe” drop in front of the green, are among the course’s attractions.
Players will discover that the Mountain Course encourages big drives off the tee but necessitates extremely difficult approach shots, in striking contrast to the Ocean Course. In order to avoid the numerous distinctive green contours and reduce the number of 3-putts, having a solid short game is a huge benefit.
A 5-star golfing experience is guaranteed with a contemporary clubhouse with three restaurants, two bars, VIP locker rooms, a fully stocked pro shop, a covered driving range, electric golf carts, and on-course rest areas. A comprehensive staff of service experts, including female caddies, is on standby to ensure efficient golfing and operations. Golfers who have the good fortune to play Quy Nhon Golf Links may expect a genuine test of their game unlike anything else in Vietnam, along with service that can compete with the best clubs in the world.
