BRG Kings Island Golf Resort is a 55-hole golf resort on the outskirts of Hanoi, located on the shore of Dong Mo Lake, 36 km from Hanoi. Just a 45-minute drive from the capital, Kings Island is a high-quality and convenient choice to include in any golf package in Northern Vietnam.
Known as the first and oldest golf course in Northern Vietnam with a 30-year history and an area of 350 hectares of land and surrounded by 1500 hectares of water, BRG Kings Island Golf Resort is the second golf course ranked on the best quality golf course in Vietnam. Golf course with 3 specially designed systems including: BRG Kings Island Mountain view, BRG Kings Island Lakeside and BRG Kings Island King Course. A unique experience unique to Kings Island Golf Course is that golfers will travel to the clubhouse on the island by speedboat from the car park to the mainland. Along with that is the majestic, breathtaking natural scene of mountains and forests, the lake gives golfers the most impressive experience.
BRG Kings Island Golf Resort was designed in 1993 by Mr. Robert McFarland – an American architect famous for big projects such as Mission Hills in California, USA. In the design process of Lakeside Yard, the most difficult thing was to maintain the existing terrain here, while retaining the natural water traps.
The talented architect took advantage of these advantages to design a lot of golf holes in the surrounding 1,500ha of lake. Located 6,516 yards from Gold tees, this Par 72 golf course will offer players many challenges regardless of their handicap or golf ability. The greens here are quite small but very beautiful. The grass grown in the greens is the Tifdwarf grass variety, while the fairways use Bermuda grass.
For the first time, BRG Kings Island Golf Resort is designed including 2 courses Lake Side and Mountain View on a total area of more than 18350ha. Each course consists of 18 holes of international standards, of which the total water surface is up to more than 1500ha and about 350ha of land surface. By 2018, the 3rd golf course in the complex was officially launched: BRG Kings Island King Course with 19 unique holes.
With a length of 6,516 yards from the farthest tee points, this Par 72 golf course has up to 4 tee points at each hole to change the difficulty to preserve the design concept. Tifdwarf is the leading grass in the Bermuda grass family used for greens – giving golfers quick and hands-on brushing surfaces year-round. Fairways are planted with Bermuda grass ice to give players excellent touchdowns regardless of the season of the year.
The Mountainview course was designed in 2004 by Pacific Coast Design (Australia). The architects harnessed the natural strengths of the mountains surrounding the Cultural Village to design the 18-hole Moutainview Stadium – Par 72 stretching over 6978 yards from the yellow tee points. Just like Lakeside, the fairways are planted with Bermuda grass, providing perfect conditions year-round for the yard.
Kings Stadium opened in 2018 and features Jack Nickaus II’s signature 55th hole played from an overhead waterfall tee. According to Jack Nicklaus II, Kings Course will be designed in the most modern style of world golf standards and this will be a “special gift” that he brings to Vietnamese golfers.
BRG Kings Island Golf Resort is the first golf course to operate in the North and has a modern lighting system that allows golfers to start or continue playing golf late at night.
With the clubhouse with an area of 4770m2 located on the top of the hill, golfers will be able to enjoy the panoramic view of the golf course and the surrounding scenery. At the same time, this place also provides full facilities such as: Locker room with more than 350 lockers and 30 shower rooms; Pro Shop sells golf shirts from Pin High and Fenix, accessories from Titleist, Adidas, Taylor Made and Callaway.
